Fees

MyFreeIRA charges no establishment, maintenance or closing fee, and no fee on cash held in the money market option. Third-party charges set by the SEC and FINRA are passed through at cost, without markup. The rate applied to automated payroll purchases is being confirmed with our executing broker and will be published before launch.

The employer relationship

MyFreeIRA is designed as a payroll-deduction IRA arrangement, not an employer-sponsored retirement plan. The employer does not endorse MyFreeIRA or any investment option, receives no compensation from the arrangement, and does not act as a fiduciary with respect to it. Each account is the individual account holder’s own IRA.

Tax

MyFreeIRA does not give tax advice. Contribution limits, deductibility and distribution rules depend on your circumstances and change over time. Form 5498 and Form 1099-R will be issued by the custodian.

MyFreeIRA provides the account-holder and employer experience. Investor Services provides account servicing and the asset platform. Institutional Trust Company will act as custodian. A8 Core provides record and processing infrastructure. B5 Secure provides the authorization layer.
